Interesting Facts:
 -Vivaldi was the violin teacher and chorus master at a girl’s orphanage in Venice, Italy.
-Vivaldi was ordained a priest in 1703.
-His nickname was “the Red Priest” because he had thick, curly red hair and wore red robes.
-Vivaldi wrote 39 different operas which he helped to produce.
-After Vivaldi’s death, much of his music was forgotten. Bach arranged ten of his concertos for harpsichord and organ. These became very popular and began a rediscovery of his music.
